SAR inducts members and hands out awards

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Chapter Sons of the American Revolution inducted three new members at their November meeting. Registrar Gary Howard installed Shawn Stoffer (Patriot Benjamin Borne), Paul Houlihan (Patriot John Ramsdell) and Charles Coles (Patriot Gilbert Lyons). Gary Miles was honored with two awards. He received the National War Service Certificate for his service in the Vietnam War, and the Liberty Medal for his recruitment of new members for the Okeechobee Chapter. Pictured with Gary (center) are VP Jim Green (left) and Pres. Jim Pippin (right).
