OKEECHOBEE -- On Thursday, Oct. 21, Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office  participated in the 4th Annual OASIS Shootout with its team of William Hill, Heath Hughes, Brian Lowe, John Hazy, Ryan Ammons and Alternate, Dory Sanchez.

The event was hosted at Center Mass and put on by the  inmate canteen company, OASIS.

Six counties participated in the event: Okeechobee, Indian River, Highlands, Lee, Collier and Glades. Overall, Okeechobee came in second place to Indian River. Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office still brought a trophy home, winning the vendetaa match agaist Glades County (Okeechobee and Glades counties were the first two counties to compete in the annual OASIS Shootout.)

The shootout for first overall between Okeechobee and Indian River literally came down to the wire and ended up being the longest back and forth match of the day.
