Sheriffs present check to Florida Sheriffs' Youth Ranch

Posted

OKEECHOBEE -- On April 5, Okeechobee & Glades County Sheriffs Noel E. Stephen and David Hardin presented Bill Frye of the Florida Sheriffs' Youth Ranch with a check for $8,000.00 from the proceeds of the recent First Responder Hookin' Specks Fishing Tournament held this past February here in Okeechobee.

This money will allow 32 deserving children to attend the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch.

Both Sheriff Stephen and Sheriff Hardin would like to thank the sponsors, competitors, and staff that contributed to this annual event. Because of all of those mentioned, both sheriffs  were honored to present this money to this worthy cause.

The second annual 2023 First Responder Hookin Specks Tournament will be here before you know it, so be ready to participate come February and look for updates on how to sign up as a team or sponsor the event.
