OKEECHOBEE -- As the last day of National Animal Control Officer Appreciation week comes to a close, we leave you with a heart-wrenching but positive story dear to our AC Director, Amy Fisher and her crew.

Meet Ribbett.

Ribbet was an emaciated and abused animal that didn't show up on Miss Amy's and staff door with much life left in him. He was broken and abused and was fearful of human interaction. Ribbet was nursed back to health and, in time, grew to know and understand what love and care were through the hearts of our staff.
Ribbet now has a spoiled wonderful life with his adoptive family with room to run, but most all, a place to be cared for and loved.

Our team is amongst the best in the nation. Amy Fisher and her crew give 100% and have strived to overcome some tough times stepping into her role.

Amy, you and your entire staff deserve a huge thank you. We appreciate you.

Although some folks on social media live in the past, you always impress upon your staff to look towards the future and you all have accomplished some pretty impressive things.
