Treasure Coast Mental Health is so excited to announce their partnership with various agencies on the Treasure Coast to present: “Is Your Story Making You Sick?” — a mental health film screening and CEU discussion. This event will take place on Oct. 13, at 11:30 a.m.

This event was truly a team effort with the amazing help of Inner Truth Project, Suncoast Mental Health Center, Coral Shores Behavioral Health, Sandy Pines Adolescent Treatment Center, New Horizons Mental Health, Southern Comfort Health, St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and Florida Center for Recovery.

This film follows eight individuals on their path to mental wellness. It reveals how individuals battling addiction, trauma and depression can change their stories and transcend their pain. The film combines top experts in mental health, brave participants sharing their stories and a revealing look at narrative therapy exercises and modalities. In this time of uncertainty, it is important to look inward and take care of our mental health. This film event comes at a time when everyone could use a different perspective on life and wellness. Hearing the stories of these eight courageous individuals offers multiple viewpoints on how to live a fulfilling life, free of anxiety, depression and trauma.

Once registered for the event, the film will be available to attendees to watch prior to the CEU discussion at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. The panel will include some of the film producers and editors, as well as mental health professionals from a few of the supporting agencies in the Treasure Coast area. Following the event, a mental health virtual toolkit will be available for all attendees to view and keep for their future reference.
