U.S. Postal Service to deliver the news!

Posted

OKEECHOBEE —– The New Year of 2021 brings newspaper delivery with your mail.

Starting Jan. 6, 2021, all home delivery subscribers to the weekly Lake Okeechobee News will find their newspapers conveniently delivered right to their mailboxes.

The Lake Okeechobee News is pleased to partner with the United States Postal Service for delivery of newspapers to our subscribers. Our customers should see a seamless transition in delivery. The newspaper will still be delivered on the same day it is now. The newspapers will include all the advertising inserts and special sections as they do now. The only difference for the home delivery customers in Okeechobee County is their newspapers will arrive with their mail. Our customers in Hendry, Glades and Palm Beach Counties have relied on mail delivery for years.

The newspaper’s partnership with USPS makes it possible for us to continue to efficiently deliver the newspapers because postal carriers are already going to each home in the Lake Okeechobee coverage area. The change in our delivery method will help make the newspaper business more efficient and allow us to continue to serve our readers with local news coverage.
The Lake Okeechobee News will be still be available for sale at single-copy locations in stores and newspapers racks throughout the Big Lake area.

We value the Lake Okeechobee News readers and will work hard to continue to provide the community news coverage the community has relied on for more than 100 years.

While the print edition of the newspaper is now weekly, readers can find local news — as well as state, national and world news from the Associated Press — seven days a week online at southcentralfloridalife.com. On the website, you can also sign up for a free email newsletter that will bring the day’s headlines to your email box six days a week.

For more information about newspaper subscriptions, please call 863-763-3134, email okeeadmin@newszap.com or  click on Subscribe to Our Newspapers.
