VA offers COVID-19 vaccine to veterans who are over the age of 70

WEST PALM BEACH  -- The VA hospital in West Palm Beach   had a tremendous response to this weekend's COVID-19 Vaccine clinic at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center; therefore, has expanded  COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic's access.   

YOU MUST BE AN ELIGIBLE VETERAN RECEIVING CARE AT VA TO GET THE COVID-19 VACCINE. 

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is offering COVID-19 Vaccine to Veterans 70 and older and veterans who are essential frontline workers (all ages) who receive care at VA on a walk-in basis..

The clinic will be at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center ,  Building 14 , 7305 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33410  on Monday, Jan. 18,1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CDC/VHA Guidelines - West Palm Beach VA Medical Center continues to follow VHA & CDC guidelines for administering the COVID-19 Vaccine:

  • Veterans aged 70 years and older who receive care at VA
  • Eligible Veterans who receive care at VA and are employed as fire fighters, police officers, corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, United States Postal Service workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, and those who work in the educational sector (teachers, support staff, and daycare workers) and who have not yet received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine are eligible to receive the vaccine at no cost. Please bring identification or documentation that you are employed in one of these categories.

Getting to the Clinic: The vaccination clinic is located in Building 14 next door to the Domiciliary. Enter the grounds from Military Trail and after you leave the screening gate take the first exit to the right from the traffic circle. 

Second Vaccine: Veterans must be able to return to the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center for a second dose in 21 - 28 days.  

Vaccines will be available for veterans who walk in as supply allows. Appointments are not required.  Expect possible extended wait times.

Those who wish to enroll must meet the VA's eligibility criteria.
