LABELLE — Friday, Dec. 10 was an extra special Christmas parade which began at 6 p.m from the parking lot between the Veterans Park and the Dollar General Market. A sheriff’s deputy began the parade, followed by the fire truck with Santa and Mrs. Claus, then the Trail Life Color Guard. Many, many groups participated, plus floats, golf carts, cars, trucks and horses! Once in Barron Park it was all festive - Santa and Mrs Claus were on stage for children to visit. There was the petting zoo, a bounce house, The Dueling Grinches, Pelican Snoballs & Hot Dog stand with drinks & empanadas. At 7 p.m. there was a huge outdoor screen with the full length movie “The Grinch” playing. Barron Park was packed with lots of family fun on a beautiful night.

We would like to thank Mayor Julie Wilkins and Wayne for getting the parade rolling and a big thank you to all participants and especially to everyone who came out to see the parade...from Ft. Myers to Moore Haven. Look for more excitement next year with the Christmas Parade!”
