SEBRING — AdventHealth is hosting ‘Journey to Heart Health Bike Fest,’ at Highlands Hammock State Park on Feb. 25. Bike Fest is a family friendly event for all ages and interests. One of the goals in launching this inaugural special event is to build healthier communities throughout the greater Heartland. Visitors may bicycle the designated Heart Health route and those who enjoy off road trails may expand their rides to include the park bike path.

Bike Fest attendees may also walk park trails, explore the park and enjoy the beauty of nature. Event activities include music, food, prizes, entertainment and more! Highlands Funding for Bike Fest is provided by AdventHealth. Park Services Specialist Carla Sherwin stated, “AdventHealth has most generously sponsored park entry fees, so this is a wonderful opportunity for families to come out to the park and enjoy a morning full of activities.” Park entry fees of $6 per vehicle (up to 8 people) will be waived between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. For more information, call 863-386-6094, and visit adventhealth.com and floridastateparks.org/park/highlands-hammock.
