OKEECHOBEE — Meet the American Legion Leaders in the southern area. Representatives from the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs will be at the American Legion, 501 SE Second St., on Saturday, April 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., to support all veterans with their VA claims and widows of veterans with their benefits. Events include VA Fresh & Healthy Teaching Kitchen, produce hand-out, health fair partnered with FAU nurses, have your vitals checked, 50/50 donation, American Legion basket raffle, free handouts. hotdogs and a cool drink.
