Annual poster contest has begun

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District has announced its annual poster contest open to all Okeechobee students (public, private, or homeschooled) in grades Kindergarten through 12. The theme for this year’s contest is “One Water” highlighting the important role that watersheds play in conservation efforts.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, March 1 at 4 p.m and posters are to be delivered to the USDA Service Center located at 452 US Highway 98 North. Cash prizes are $50 for first, $35 for second, and $20 for third place in each age/grade category.
