OKEECHOBEE -- A caricature artist had the tables turned on him Saturday during the Top of the Lake Art Fest.

Jim Weckbacher said he has been doing caricatures for many years, traveling all over the country, and never before has one of his models offered to make a caricature of him. During the art festival, Beautiful Smith, an Okeechobee resident, had her picture done and then asked if she could return the favor. Weckbacher was delighted to  let her give it a shot. "It's weird being on this side of the easel," he said.

Soon, Smith presented him with her finished product, and it was met with great enthusiasm by both Weckbacher and those watching her draw. "I have had a little experience," she said. "But, I don't have much time anymore now that I am working."
