Belle Glade and South Bay voters choose commissioners

PALM BEACH COUNTY – Belle Glade and South Bay elected city commissioners in the March 14 Uniform Municipal Elections in Palm Beach County.

In the Belle Glade City Commission Seat A race, Zayteck Martin received 821 votes (58.31% of votes cast) to Stanley Highsmith’s 587 votes (41.69%).

In the Belle Glade City Commission Seat B race. Mayor Steve Wilson defeated challenger Robert C. Mitchell. Wilson received 1,074 votes (76.77%) to Mitchell’s 325 votes (23.23%).

In the South Bay City Commission Seat 1 race, Esther Berry won with 230 votes (52.15%). John Brockman received 211 votes (47.85%).

In the South Bay Seat 3 race, Taranza McKelvin won with 249 votes (55.83%). Barbara King received 197 votes (44.17%)

In the South Bay Seat 5 race, Albert “Church Boy” Polk IV won with 353 votes (79.5%). George Sandiford recvied 91 votes (20.5%).
