Brahman baseball receives grant for repairs to scoreboard

OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee High School Brahman baseball program has received a grant from The Altobello Foundation to remodel the press box at the baseball field and repair the scoreboard.

The Altobello Foundation was established by Okeechobee resident Frank Altobello to support nonprofits which provide services to in Okeechobee County. . Altobello passed away in 2015. He was a resident of Okeechobee since 1949.

Since 2017 the foundation has awarded over $500,000 to Okeechobee County residents.

The Brahman baseball team is coming off back-to-back district championship seasons. In 2021 Okeechobee defeated South Fork 4-3. In 2022, the Brahmans fought their way back into the district championship once again, this time beating the Suncoast Chargers 3-1.
