Business Corner: La Victoria serves up seafood special

Posted

LABELLE- While small, locally owned restaurants continue to struggle through the pandemic, some even having to close their doors for good, others are working on ways to reinvent themselves to bring in more business.

Listening to a common complaint regarding the lack of seafood available around town, Paleteria La Victoria came up with a great new menu item.

The restaurant, known for serving up their delicious pupusas and tamales, is now offering seafood boils.

“Our seafood boils include crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and eggs,” owner Nelda Cuellar said.

The trays come in hot or mild, and are $22 for a single serving or $42 for two. These seafood boils can be ordered by phone, and picked up in their drive through. They also have indoor seating available.

“These trays are packed with crab and shrimp,” said Demetrius Hayes, a regular customer of La Victoria for years. “I love their burgers, the broasted chicken, and of course the tamales, but this seafood boil is the bomb! And that price can’t be beat!”

“Get them while they last!” Nelda’s daughter, JoeAnn Alaniz, recommended.

There is so much to offer on their new menu, including shrimp and grits, grilled chicken salad, and tons of yummy desserts, too.

To place an order you may call Paleteria La Victoria at 863 -674-7146. The restaurant is located at 155 West Cowboy Way in LaBelle.
