OKEECHOBEE -- Okeechobee County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on N.W. Fourth Avenue across from the Okeechobee Judicial Center on May 10 at 1:50 p.m. According to witnesses, the car was already smoking when the car pulled into the parking area and the vehicle's occupants got out and left the scene. Good Samaritans got fire extinguishers from nearby businesses and tried to supress the blaze until the fire trucks arrived.
