Join us for the Ribbon Cutting for the new United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee County celebration. The United Way of St. Lucie County is proud to announce it’s now the United Way of St. Lucie and Okeechobee. This will be uniting our residents with much needed services and resources. The chamber will host the Grand Re-opening of the United Way Okeechobee House, located at located at 208 North Parrott Ave., on Thursday, March 10 at noon. Stop in, meet the staff, learn about funding programs and services available to you and explore ways you can help Okeechobee Live United.

Our March Rise Up with the Chamber will be on Wednesday, March 16 from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. at OK Corral Gun Club located at 9449 N.E. 49th St. Camilia and her team will be sharing the activities that are happening now and some of the upcoming events. If you have time, you’ll want to stay and look around the property. We’ll have two other guest speakers to tell us about their organizations also. Light refreshments will be available. Mark your calendars and we hope to see you there.

Google class on Launch Your Business with Customer-Focused Marketing will be held on Tuesday, March 22, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. As a new entrepreneur, you’ll need more than good products or services to grow your business. It’s also important to have strong customer-focused marketing strategies to reach your audience and turn them into loyal customers. In this workshop, you will learn how to:

• Create a compelling brand
• Define your audience

• Convert customers
• Build loyalty and advocacy

“Sweets with Google” will be held Tuesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reserve your seat now for the first Google Livestream of the year! Only 20 seats will be available for this information packed event. Bring your lunch and we will supply dessert. Registration is mandatory and we will have a waiting list. Hosted by one of Google’s internal SEO experts, this workshop will give you a behind-the-scenes view into how Google approaches SEO for its own sites. You will learn practical strategies that you or your web development team can implement to help drive traffic from Google Search to your site.
