Christmas Bird Count

HENDRY COUNTY — Please join Hendry-Glades Audubon Society for our December chapter presentation on Monday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The guest presenter is Jayne Johnston of Wildlife Coexistence Solutions LLC. Jayne’s topic is “The Christmas Bird Count: The Past, Present, and Future.” She will provide a historical context for the Christmas Bird Count, the significance of this citizen science project and what we’ve learned about birds in our area as a result.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. In addition, Jayne will be leading a field trip at Daniels Preserve at Spanish Springs near Alva on Saturday morning, Dec. 12.

Please meet at the preserve at 7:30 a.m. to be sure to catch the early birds in action! Please email Steve at stephenbuczynski@gmail.com if you plan to attend the guided walk with Jayne.
