CHS Tigers wrestle to win

Posted

CLEWISTON — The Clewiston High School (CHS) Wrestling Team has been training hard, and all their work has definitely paid off. Coach Quinn Miller and Assistant Coach Renaley Tapia were proud to see their Tigers bring home four medals from their first tournament of the year, the Somerset Scuffle in Pembroke Pines on Jan. 9.

At the Somerset Scuffle, Hisham Ramadan and Roland Loreto placed third, while Tomas Pacheco and Izac Martinez earned second place.

The CHS Tigers went on to defeat the Labelle Cowboys and the Lake Placid Dragons in a Tri-meet dual hosted by Lake Placid High School on Jan. 12, and have been unstoppable since.

At the Oasis Duals in Cape Coral on Jan. 20, they won two out of three of their matches.

They then went on to finish in fourth place at the Bull Shark Duals in Bonita Springs High School on Jan. 23.

To continue their winning streak, the Clewiston High School Wrestling Team is holding a t-shirt fundraiser. If you would like to support the Tigers, email Coach Miller for details: millerq@hendry-schools.net.
