STUART – Martin County School District is proud to be celebrating Constitution week starting Sept. 17, according to Martin Moments. Constitution Week is celebrated annually from Sept. 17 to Sept 23 in the United States. This year the celebration commemorates the 234th anniversary of the Constitution's signing.
Per public law, students in grades K-12 learn about the U. S. Constitution on Constitution Day (Sept. 17). In addition, a variety of activities are planned throughout the week to enhance student's understanding of and appreciation for our nation's founding document.
Martin County School District is partnering with the Martin County Bar Association, and 10 area schools will host practicing attorneys and sitting judges as speakers for students. Those helping bring the Constitution to life this year are Judge Alan O. Forst (4th District Court of Appeals), Judge Kathleen H. Roberts (19th Judicial Circuit Court) and Adam G. Schwartz, Esq. (Fox McCluskey Law).
The school district expressed their gratitude for the Martin County Bar Association's involvement in the event.
