OKEECHOBEE – The Okeechobee County Commission honored Jennifer Busbin at their March 9 meeting at the Okeechobee County Commission in the Historic Okeechobee County Courthouse. Busbin was employed by the Community Development Department as the planner for Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners from Nov. 15, 1993 until March 8, 2023 with a break in service from February 23, 2000 until September 26, 2001. After serving 27 years with Okeechobee County, Busbin announced her retirement as the Okeechobee County Community Development Planner effective March 8, 2023. “I just want to go off and do great things,” said Busbin. She said she will remain active in the community.
