PAHOKEE -- The Community ID of the Palm Beaches is for any resident who may have limited access to government issued forms of identification. It is not a government-issued ID or driver's license, but it is a verifiable form of identification. It can be used as a tool by law enforcement, city agencies, health centers, schools and businesses to better identify and serve you.
A Community ID event is planned Saturday, April 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 East Main Street, Pahokee. Doors open at 10 a.m. Participants must attend a mandatory orientation at 10:30 a.m.
Required items participants must bring are:
• Photo identification (current or expired driver's licnese, national ID card, marticular consular or other embassy ID or passport);
• Proof of residency (recent utility bill, rental agreement, medical bill, bank statement),
• $20.
Distribution of tickets will begin on April 10.
