OKEECHOBEE — After a 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle at Water’s Edge RV Park, the driver was arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl. When Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Broughton arrived at the park at approximately 4:15 a.m. on May 28, he found a blue mini van parked in front of one of the lots. According to the report, he found 37-year-old Craig Morgan and a female passenger sleeping in the van with the door open. On Morgan’s chest, Broughton observed a small plastic bag containing two capsules. The capsules were tested and found to contain Fentanyl. In addition, he saw several pieces of tin foil in the cup holder. The report notes tin foil is commonly used for illegal narcotics.
Morgan was charged with possession of Fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,500.
On May 12, Morgan was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was reportedly found with a loaded syringe and a clear glass pipe. He was out on bond at the time of the second arrest.
