Posted

OKEECHOBEE — Courtney Marie Adams, who was arrested in September of 2020 and charged with possession of Fantanyl with the intent to sell and with the sale of Fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a church, entered a no contest plea and was sentenced to two years in the state prison and two years drug offender probation.

In April of 2020, the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force met with a confidential informant for the purpose of purchasing heroin from Adams. The transaction was completed near First Baptist Church. The heroin was field tested and came back positive for Fentanyl.

On January 27, 2021, Adams entered her plea and was sentenced by Judge Michael McNicholas.
