Family has veterans flag refolded

LABELLE — The family of Private Fist Class John Gurdock, a US Marine in World War II, had the flag presented to them at his funeral in 1975 refolded by members of American Legion Post 130 in LaBelle. Jacqueline Gurdock, great-granddaughter of PFC Gurdock, is a member of the JROTC at Dunbar High School in Fort Myers. She plans to follow in her great-grandfather’s footsteps and join the Marines after graduation.
