BELLE GLADE — FINFROCK, the only vertically integrated design-builder and manufacturing company of its kind in the industry, received the Economic Impact of the Year Award of Excellence from NAIOP South Florida for its new manufacturing facility in Belle Glade. The awards recognize companies and individuals that have demonstrated exemplary efforts, and the winners are selected by peers in the commercial real estate industry.

The Apopka-based company has expanded into Palm Beach County with a 140,000-sq.-ft.+ precast concrete manufacturing facility and administrative offices on approximately 94 acres in Belle Glade and has become a significant regional employer. The facility is built on the site of the former Glades Correctional Institution.

The facility in Belle Glade is expected to have a $242 million economic impact on the region and brings new efficient and cost-effective precast/prestressed concrete design, manufacturing and construction solutions for commercial developers in Palm Beach, Dade, Broward and Southwest Florida counties.

The site was originally purchased in March 2021, during the height of the pandemic. FINFROCK worked fastidiously, despite unexpected delays, to complete the lengthy process of clearing and demucking the land before it was suitable to begin construction. FINFROCK applied the company’s innovative and efficient design-build methods to reduce construction time and costs as much as possible, and local workers from Belle Glade and the surrounding region successfully helped build the manufacturing facility, which is now operational and pouring pieces for high-profile construction projects in South Florida.

FINFROCK has integrated with the local community, partnering with local high schools and technical schools such as West Technical Education Center, Palm Beach State College and CareerSource Palm Beach County to provide training and long-term career options.
