OKEECHOBEE — After spotting his ex-girlfriend in town on Nov. 30, Alphonso Morris Jr. reportedly chased her through town and into the 441 Drive-thru, where she jumped out of the vehicle and ran for her life.
Morris reportedly followed right behind her with an ice pick in his hand. He then kicked her car window and slashed her tires before grabbing her keys, she reported. “I’m in fear for my life,” she said. “He will not leave me alone.” She reported he was swinging the ice pick in a wild, aggressive manner.
Because he could not be located sooner, Morris was arrested Dec. 3 by Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Bond was set at $10,000.
