Glades County School District warns of viral threat

MOORE HAVEN -- The Glades County School District shared this message: "We have been made aware of another nation-wide trend, where students post a threat regarding gun violence in schools on social media. We believe it originated with TikTok, but it has been seen on Instagram and Facebook as well. Specifically, the viral threat focuses on a shooting at a school on Friday, Dec. 17.
 
"We would like to reassure everyone at this time that there are no reported threats to or in any of the schools in the Glades County School District.
 
"If you know of any specific threats or witness any suspicious activity, please reach out to the Glades County Sherriff's Department at 863-946-1600, or school administration immediately."
