OKEECHOBEE — Thanks to Glades Electric, the Veterans' Square Park flagpole has had some needed repairs. On Thursday, March 23, electricians volunteered their time to replace pulleys and turnbuckles. Although the city of Okeechobee has its own lift, it is not tall enough to reach the parts that needed repairs. Veteran Gregg Maynard contacted Glades Electric to ask them for help. Maynard also paid for the parts himself.
