PORT ST LUCIE — Some members of the Green Thumb Garden Club of Clewiston attended the District X Fall Meeting sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, “Beautify Your Surroundings” at Harvest Time on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
The speakers were Dale Galiano “Art In The Florida Yard” and Sean Hebert “Sprouting For The Health Of It. "
There was also a Memorial Ceremony for Garden Club Members in District X who passed away in the past year. A white rose was placed into a vase for each member who passed away as their name was called and the name of the garden club they were a member of. Kitty Gray, who was a member of the Green Thumb Garden Club of Clewiston, passed away in September of 2021. She will be greatly missed.
The three ladies from the GTGC who attended the District X Fall Meeting were Janet Summerlin, Karen Cochrane, and Carol Griggs.
This event was hosted by the St. Lucie West Garden Club at the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
