Green Thumb Garden Club creates Book Nook

Posted

CLEWISTON — Green Thumb Garden Club (GTGC) created a Book Nook at the Clewiston Public Library.

Garden/horticulture books dedicated to past garden club members/families are housed there to be enjoyed by the entire community. So far there is a book in memory of Earnie Rawls, late husband of GTGC member Becky Rawls, a book in memory of Betty Lebo, past member of the GTGC, and the third book is in Loving Tribute to Ann (Eula) Bowling presented in April, 2021. The title of the book is “Easy Gardens for South Florida.”

Ann Bowling has been a valuable member of the Clewiston Green Thumb Garden Club for several years. She has been a winter resident of Clewiston since 1989. She and her husband just moved to their home in Dexter, Missouri, on May 10, 2021. The garden club will miss Ann, and wish her and her husband, Jay, the best as they live full time in Dexter, Missouri.
