CLEWISTON — National Garden Week is June 6-12. The Clewiston Green Thumb Garden Club (GTGC) decided to put real flowers in colorful plastic containers and decorate them with colorful raised flower stickers on the containers to be given to the Clewiston Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. There are 26 tables in three dining rooms. There were enough flowers for every table with some left over. Recreation Director Shanerra Alexander, met the ladies from GTGC in front of the building Wednesday, June 9, 2021, and took the flowers to the dining rooms before lunch so that everyone could enjoy them. This is the policy due to coronavirus, otherwise the GTGC would have gladly decorated the tables. This is a project the ladies of the GTGC enjoyed doing for National Garden Week.
