GTGC creates brochures to encourage new membership

Posted

CLEWISTION — On Sept. 21, the Green Thumb Garden Club of Clewiston met at the First United Methodist Church at 10 am. This was the first meeting for the 2021-2022 year.

President, Margo Fatzinger participated in a District X Meeting by way of Zoom in September regarding membership. Ninette Aker made up brochures for the garden club with hopes of getting new members. The GTGC brochures were placed in the Clewiston Public Library, the Clewiston Museum, and the Common Grounds Coffee Shop in Clewiston. Green Thumb Garden Club's vision is “To serve our community by nurturing the love of gardening, horticulture, and agriculture.”

GTGC would love to have you come to a meeting. For more information, please contact Margo Fatzinger at 863-233-9028, Ninette Aker at 305 510-5625 or Janet Way at 863-677-1002. If no one answers, please leave a voicemail and someone will return the call as soon as possible. Membership is open to all men and women who are interested in helping beautify the area one plant at a time. GTGC meets from September through May. Dues are $35 per person. The GTGC meets the third Tuesday each month at 10 a.m., unless specified otherwise, at the First United Methodist Church, 331 W. Osceola Ave., Life Enrichment Center.
