OKEECHOBEE – HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital announced April 1, that it plans to unveil a new state-of-the-art, 53,000 square-foot medical office building to the public on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

The $17 million office space is the first of its kind in Okeechobee and is expected to attract new physicians and services to the area.

The new HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital Medical Office Building, located adjacent to the main hospital on Highway 441 North, will provide a full range of healthcare services to the residents of Okeechobee and the surrounding communities. Many of the staff physicians have secured space on the second and third floors of the building in order to optimize care of their patients. The fourth floor of the building is still customizable for newly recruited physicians who wish to accommodate their practice.

“This is an exciting opportunity for these physicians and the residents of Okeechobee,” said Brian Melear, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital. “HCA Healthcare continues to invest in this community and expand our patients’ access to high-quality healthcare. Through the integrated network of HCA Florida Healthcare we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our community.”

Beginning Tuesday, April 5, the medical office building will become the main entrance of the hospital. Many departments currently housed within the hospital will now be located in the building including: patient registration, the quality team, medical staff services, executive offices, finance and the gift shop. This will free up much-needed clinical space to add more private patient rooms and expand our emergency and imaging departments.
