Hendry County updating land use plan

Hendry County is updating their Comprehensive Plan – the County’s longrange tool guiding development, housing, community facilities, infrastructure, and conservation efforts.

This update is to address changing conditions, projected population growth and the need for modernized and flexible future land use categories to guide growth and development.

Upcoming planning workshop meetings are:

• April 13, 6 p.m. – Felda Community Center – 1100 CR 830, Felda;

• April 20, 6 p.m. – County Emergency Operations Center – 4425 SR 80, LaBelle;
• April 27, 6 p.m. – LaBelle High School – 4050 E. Cowboy Way, LaBelle;
• May 4, 6 p.m. – Pioneer Community Center – 910 Panama Ave., Clewiston;
• May 11, 6 p.m. – Harlem Civic & Cultural Center – 2000 7th St., Clewiston.
