Hendry County Waste Amnesty Week is April 18-23

HENDRY COUNTY — Hendry County Waste Management in conjunction with the City of LaBelle and the City of Clewiston, will be hosting a week-long amnesty for Hendry County residents beginning Monday, April 18 through Saturday, April 23 at the following locations:

• Clewiston Transfer Station, 1350 Olympia Ave. — Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon

• LaBelle Transfer Station, 1280 Forestry Division Road, Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to noon and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon

Residents will be asked to provide a valid driver’s license to ensure they reside in Hendry County.

No commercial waste will be accepted. Waste is restricted to two loads or two tons.

Accepted waste:
• Yard waste: no single branch or limb larger than 4 feet long and 4 inches in diameter.
• Construction debris: lumber, shingles, drywall, glass, tiles, wire, etc.

• White goods: washers, stoves, water heaters, etc.
• Furniture: sofas, mattresses, chairs, etc.
• Tires: tires without rims - limited to one to four tires
