Human Trafficking Awareness Seminar Wednesday

CLEWISTON -- The Hendry County Sheriff's Office along with the Tourism Development Council have partnered to provide free Human Trafficking Awarness Training to local hospitality partners.

Sgt. Wanda Hainley with the sheriff's office will present the training.

Guest speaker will be Tsveteline Thompson, founder of Twentyfour-Seven, a local nonprofit organization, providing victims with life saving information while they are still enslaved.

The seminar will be held at Oct. 13, with two time options at John Boy Auditorium, 1200 S. W.C. Owen Avenue in Clewiston. Session 1 is 10 a.m. to noon. Session 2 is 2 to 4 p.m.
