LABELLE -- On Tuesday, March 7, at approximately 2 p.m., Hendry County Agricultural Deputies impounded a male donkey running at large on Perimeter Road in Montura Ranch Estates. The donkey was reported to be running with a horse in the area, however, deputies were unable to locate it.
He was captured and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Impound lot. To claim ownership to this donkey, please call the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office at 863-674-5600 and ask to speak with an Agriculture Deputy.
Under Florida Law, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office posts online photos and information on livestock found at large. After three days, if they have not been claimed by their owners the livestock may become the property of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
