K9 handlers demonstrate skills at VFW

OKEECHOBEE — On June 11,  K-9 handlers from the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office and the K9 handler from the Okeechobee City Police Department went to the Big Lake VFW Post 10539 for a demonstration of their partners' skills and how each work together.

Participants learned about tracking, searching, apprehension, and detection; these teams conduct daily on duty and the risks associated with their jobs.
