Special to the Caloosa Belle
LABELLE -- The LaBelle Community Thanksgiving Service is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. in Barron Park, sponsored by the LaBelle Evangelical Ministers' Association.
"We are having our Annual community Thanksgiving service in Barron Park this year," said Pastor Clifford Avery. "This will help meet 6-foot guide lines. We are adding Facebook Live and possibly a FM 87.9 radio station for the park so we can hear the service in our cars. We will be honoring all our service workers that have kept us safe and faithfully supplied all our needs."
The service will include:
• Welcome & Opening Prayer: Pastor Frank Deerey Jr. Pastor of First Baptist Church;
• Pledge to the Flag: Mayor of LaBelle Julie Wilkins;
• Prayer for our Country: Seth Howard, veteran;
• Congregational Worship: Pastor Charles Gobble of LaBelle Church of God;
• Old Testament reading: Pastor Gwen Patrick-Griffiths of Greater Harvest African Methodist Episcopal Church;
• New Testament reading: Pastor Alonzo McKenzie of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church;
• Solo: Kathy Avery, of LaBelle Assembly of God;
• Thanksgiving speaker and benediction: L. W. Howard, Pastor of Community Harvest, Pentecostal Church of God.
Audio will be provided by First Baptist Church, Mix Master Pastor Preston Long.
