During the day, before the Julian Keen, Jr. candlelight vigil on June 17, 2020, the LHS cheerleaders held a bake sale at Barron Park. They raised $3790.35 to go towards the Julian Keen Memorial Scholarship.

“We would like to thank everyone who dropped off baked goods for the girls to sell and everyone for their donations!! We love our town!! We love our cheer family #belikejulian” Danielle Nicolle Razo announced on Facebook.

The Julian Keen Memorial Scholarship has been set up, through a partnership with SW Florida Heroes Foundation, “to make sure Julian’s legacy lives on forever,” Charlie Barnes explained. “Myself and the fine men involved will do our best to make decisions evaluating situations through the eyes of Julian and what he would want.” He went on, “The fund will be able to help youths in the area in many ways, but we will have a focus on young men and women who wish to pursue a career in law enforcement. I can assure you that 100% of the donations will be distributed in our community. #belikejulian”

Contributions to the Julian Keen Memorial Scholarship can be made at all First Bank of Clewiston locations. Make checks payable to SW Florida Heroes Foundation, Inc. with a memo as follows: Julian Keen Memorial Scholarship.
