Mu Rho Omega Chapter celebrates Founders’ Day

BELLE GLADE — On Jan. 8, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Mu Rho Omega Chapter commemorated their Founders’ Day program at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Belle Glade, FL. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded on January 15, 1908 and is celebrating 115 years of service. Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first black female sorority comprised of college educated women around the world. The ladies of the Mu Rho Omega Chapter service the Glades Communities of Pahokee, Belle Glade and South Bay along with the City of Clewiston.

Chapter President Dr. Carla P. Kendall and the Mu Rho Omega Chapter thanks all who attended their Founders’ Day program. A sincere thanks is also extended to the Founders’ Day Committee Chairman, Shundra Dowers, Co-Chairman Ronelda Arnett, the Founders Day committee, the 20 Pearls (pictured below in pink) and program participants.
