New charges brought against man accused of murdering FWC Officer Julian Keen

LABELLE - Elicio Hernandez, 20 was arrested on negligent manslaughter charges on June 14, in the shooting death of FWC Officer Julian Keen, now faces new charges of second degree murder with a firearm, attempted second degree murder – discharging a firearm, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of synthetic cannabis.

Hernandez’s bond has been increased for the new charges, according to the Hendry County Clerk of Courts:

Second degree murder with a firearm: $750,000/punishable by life

Attempted second degree murder: $500,000
Leaving the scene: $1,500
Possession of cannabinoids: $5,000

$1,256,500 in total.
