OKEECHOBEE — We are proud to introduce to you Lake O’ Elite Athletics. Our mission is to Reach, Teach, and Develop. Lake O’ was founded and built here in Okeechobee, Florida to provide essential fundamental development for the youth in our community by using sports as a teaching tool for life skills. Our goal is to create a developmental plan that would assess and enhance each individual's leadership skills, social skills, mental toughness, awareness, and overall self confidence. Safety is our top priority here at Lake O for our participants, parents, coaches and volunteers.
Programs we offer are Youth Track and Field, Youth Football and Cheer, and Digital Media. Okeechobee’s first ever hosted Youth Track and Field was held on Saturday, March 18, in Lake Worth. Battle of the Lakes has officially begun. History was definitely made. We had 16 events and awarded first, second, and third place prizes.
Right here in our community of Okeechobee we have many talented athletes who have what it takes to dominate aif given the chance to compete at the state and national level. We have over 23 athletes that competed in our first meet of the season. We are so excited to watch their growth throughout the season.
