Night on the Town great kick-off to Swamp Cabbage Week

Posted

LABELLE - On Tuesday Night, Fort Thompson Avenue was alive with activity as the LaBelle Chamber of Commerce held their annual Night on the Town event. Over 35 local businesses and organizations came out to showcase and promote their businesses and causes.

There are so many people who assisted the Chamber in making this event possible. For their support of the event the LaBelle Chamber of Commerce would like to thank:

• The City of LaBelle for permission to hold this event on Fort Thompson Ave., and for providing additional lighting and trash containers. Extra special thanks goes to Gary Hull and Robbie Music.

Hendry County Sheriff’s Department and the Citizens on Patrol. They controlled the traffic flow, the pedestrian crossings, and kept everyone safe.

• Steve Whidden and his Posse: As always they provided wonderful entertainment during the evening.

• Gulf Citrus Port-a-lets who provided the “necessary items”.

• The Swamp Cabbage Festival Committee who makes our event so special by setting up a booth with their collectable and in-demand “Swamp Cabbage T-Shirts”. What a great way to kick off Swamp Cabbage Week!

• Our wonderful Chamber Members who set up booths to promote their businesses and organizations.

• And finally, to our fabulous residents and visitors of LaBelle who came to our event and showed us some real “LaBelle Love”.

We hope we did not miss thanking anyone. If we did we are extremely sorry. It was another wonderful Chamber of Commerce event, and we will see you all again next year!!

Diane E Fidanza, Executive Director LaBelle Chamber of Commerce
