Hendry County Road & Bridge Department’s asphalt contractor, Ajax Paving Industries, Inc., will be opening Helms Road Extension at 10am Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
Motorists are to use caution as Helms Road Extension is still under construction at the intersections of SR29 and SR80. Workers will be present for the next few weeks finalizing construction of the signalized intersections.
Traffic signals at the intersection of Helms Road Extension and SR29 and SR80 will remain in flash mode until traffic counts warrant the activation of the traffic signals. Motorists are to use caution when traveling through these intersections.
