HENDRY COUNTY — Please be advised that, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 8, South Central Florida Express (SCFE) and Hendry County’s contractor, OHL USA, Inc., will be conducting railroad improvements and roadway construction services at the railroad crossing on CR720 in Clewiston, FL.
The work includes installation of a track panel and concrete boards and milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway adjacent to the railroad.
Operations will require the CR720 railroad crossing to be closed. Visual message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to detour traffic.
Motorists should allow extra time for their commute.
The work is expected to have a completion time of approximately two days.
Operations will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 6:00am and end on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.
Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify of any changes.
