CLEWISTON — Please be advised that, beginning Thursday, Sept. 30, Hendry County’s contractor, OHL USA, Inc., will be conducting roadway and sidewalk construction services at the railroad crossing on W.C. Owen Avenue in Clewiston.
The work includes pouring of concrete for curb on the existing roadway and sidewalk adjacent to the railroad crossing. The speed limit will be reduced through the project area.
Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the project and allow extra time for their commute. Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone. Traffic control signage will be in place to help direct traffic.
The work is expected to have a completion time of approximately one day.
Operations will begin on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County
Engineering Department will notify of any changes.
