OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee High School girls tennis team beat Melbourne 4-1 in the regional semi-finals on April 19 at the Okeechobee County Sports Complex. The victory moves the Lady Brahmans on to the regional final.
B’ellana Schlosser, Isabella Derigo, Lily Cobb, and Tori Trent all won their singles against Melbourne. Hannah Williams battled her opponent all the way to a tie-breaker before falling.
The Okeechobee boys were on the road in their semi-final match, also against Melbourne. The boys fell 2-5, with Riley Schlosser and Issac Schlosser winning in singles, and Peyton Johnson forcing a tie-breaker before falling in his match.
The Lady Brahmans will play host in the regional final, which is set for April 21 at 3 p.m. at the Okeechobee County Sports Complex.
