Okeechobee County Schools COVID-19 update

OKEECHOBEE — Between Friday, July 30 and Tuesday, August 17, 498 students and/or staff members, 493 students and three staff members, were excluded from in-person instruction in Okeechobee County Schools due to possible COVID-19 contact.

• Everglades Elementary School-15
• South Elementary School-28
• Seminole Elementary School-13
• Osceola Middle School-151
• Okeechobee Virtual School-0
• Okeechobee High School-173
• Okeechobee Freshman Campus-65

• Okeechobee Achievement Academy-
• North Elementary School-5
• Central Elementary School-19
• District staff- 1

Between Friday, July 30 and Tuesday, August 17, 23 students and 38 staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

Since school began on August 10, 2020, 497 exclusions and 45 positive test results have been reported.
